The administrative module is an important part of any vendor's digital audio program. Some vendors have very sophisticated, detailed modules and some really don't have any.
If an administrative module exists, you will want to find out if it can provide you with much needed usage statistics. Some of the questions you would want to ask are:
- What kind of usage statistics are there?
- If you are in a consortium, will they break it down by library?
- Can you break statistics down by date of checkout?
- Can you tell how many times each title was checked out?
- Can you get statistics by genre?
- How sophisticated do you expect statistics to be? Are they offering you more than you need?
- Do you have to manually keep track of circulation statistics?
