  • Annual subscription price is based on the total annual circ stats for the subscribing library
  • Copy protected WMA files
  • Two compression ratios, which they call "radio" and "CD" quality
  • Preview audio snippets are available
  • Not very consortial friendly, although this is changing
  • Multiple concurrent users allowed, up to an annual cap on circs
  • Easily integrate digital audiobooks with existing NetLibrary ebook service
  • Provide MARC records
  • Provides integration with ILS
  • Large files are not broken into sections
  • Relatively long download times
  • Burning CDs not allowed
  • Users must set up a free personal account within NetLibrary
  • Only "CD" compression files can be transferred to portable playback devices
  • To go above the annual circulation cap, the library must pay a surcharge
  • Will not play on iPods
